Become a Job Shadow Host

What is a job shadow?

A job shadow is an opportunity for students to observe working professionals for a short period of time, typically 10 hours, during business hours. As a host, you will inform students about your work, the skills required, opportunities within the field, and introduce them to colleagues.

Employer benefits

Becoming a job shadow host is a low-commitment opportunity for employers and community members to showcase what they have to offer and also inform up and coming talent about the work environment, skills required, and various opportunities within the field. It’s also an opportunity for you and your staff to develop leadership and mentoring skills.

Job shadows typically take place during the October and February reading week breaks during normal business hours of operation.
