Be Involved at UPEI!
Going to university isn’t just about what happens in the classroom. It’s about discovering and expressing your passions and priorities while building friendships that last a lifetime.
Pride at UPEI runs deep, and you’ll know what we mean as soon as you arrive on campus when you start your journey as a Panther and join UPEI’s 24,000-and-growing alumni network.
New Student Orientation (NSO)
NSO is a perfect time to meet new friends, talk to upper-year students, learn about the campus, and have fun! The tight-knit community at UPEI is here to support you and welcome you to the campus. I hope you take part in all of the opportunities given to you through NSO and start your UPEI career off on the right foot.
UPEI Student Union
Make the most of your time at UPEI by participating in student government, groups, societies, extra-curricular activities, and advocacy. Your UPEI Student Union can show you how!
Athletics and Recreation
UPEI takes Athletics seriously. Whether you on a team or cheering from the benches, you can be a part of the Panther energy.
Admission to home games is free with your student ID.
UPEI has some of the best sports and recreation facilities in Canada. Students can make use of the state-of-the-art fitness centre or participate in intramural and recreational programs at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. The university campus also boasts an outdoor artificial turf field, the UPEI Alumni Canada Games Place track and field facility, and the 160,000+ square-foot Bell Aliant Centre and MacLauchlan Arena. No matter what your sport or fitness goal may be—competitive, recreational, or personal—you’ll receive the support you need to reach it.
Campus Life Program
UPEI's Campus Life Program is here to help you build friendships, create memories and love university life!
Come hang out in the lounge where you will meet our Campus Life Advisors (CLAs), play a game, watch TV, study or just relax. Our CLAs plan all kinds of events throughout the year. If you would like to help or have an event idea, let us know. Come out and be a part of UPEI's campus life!
International Buddy Program
New incoming international students are paired with a returning domestic or international student to be their buddy. These buddies share their personal experiences with new international students.
The primary goal of the International Buddy Program is to provide assistance for a smooth transition to Canadian culture for new international students. By assisting these new students with things such as adapting to a new country, culture, and environment, and create a more relaxing and hospitable atmosphere for new international students.
Visit the International Buddy Program website for more information.
UPEI's Human Resources department posts on-campus student jobs, and our Career Services office has listings of off-campus employment opportunities. You can also sign up for job posting email alerts.
