Independent Third-Party Review

In December 2021, Janice Rubin and Heather Shields, from Rubin Thomlinson LLP, were retained to conduct an independent external third-party review of the University’s workplace policies and practices with respect to harassment and discrimination and an investigation of allegations that were brought to the University’s attention concerning the former president.

The Terms of Reference for the Review were approved by the UPEI Board of Governors on January 28, 2022, and can be read here. They were developed in consultation with Janice Rubin and others, including representative leadership groups from within our community including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the Board of Governors.
