The University of Prince Edward Island’s new Faculty of Medicine and interdisciplinary health education facility is now open, marking a significant milestone for the province and setting a new benchmark for collaborative project delivery in Canada.

The UPEI campus community were invited to take part in a Sexual Assault Awareness Week initiative named “Love Letters to Survivors” that encouraged individuals to write messages of empathy, care, and encouragement for those who have experienced sexual violence.

Researchers at the University of Prince Edward Island have been awarded over $1.7 million in federal funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

Dr. Greg Naterer shared the news in a campus-wide message that Dr. Donna Hardy Cox has been appointed as the Associate Vice-President, Students, for a five-year term, effective November 1, 2025.
