The UPEI Track and Field team is excited to welcome Cornwall, PEI native Leah Campbell for the 2023–24 season. Head coach Colin MacAdam has no doubt she will help the team continue to improve their sprint and relay performances.

The University of Prince Edward Island Board of Governors and members of the UPEI Faculty Association (UPEI FA), Bargaining Unit 1 and Bargaining Unit 2, ratified a new collective on Friday, April 14, 2023, ending the faculty strike. Classes at UPEI will resume Monday, April 17.

The UPEI Mawi’omi Indigenous Student Centre has created a new award for Indigenous students attending the University, with support from the Government of Prince Edward Island.

The University issued an update to students and employees on April 6 to advise that Minister Bloyce Thompson has appointed Michelle Flaherty as the mediator for the upcoming talks with the UPEI Faculty Association.

The University and UPEI Faculty Association have agreed to return to the bargaining table with the assistance of a government-appointed mediator.
