Course Participants FAQ
Classes are typically held from 8:30 am–4:00 pm.
Your class will be taking place in Room 208, Robertson Library, building #15 on the UPEI Campus and Parking Map (unless otherwise notified).
The class is conveniently located next to Samuel's Cafe or you are welcome to bring your own food into the classroom.
From mid-September to mid-April, the parking permit system is enforced in all parking lots during the academic year from 7:00 am–5:00 pm daily. Course participants attending training during the academic year must pay for metered parking or purchase a parking permit.
Parking permits may be purchased in advance of the training dates and they can be sent electronically to participants or “picked up in person” at the Facilities Management Office in the Central Utility Building. Permits allow users to park in the General Parking Lots A, B, D, and E.
In-person payments for parking passes can be made by visiting the front desk in the Facilities Management Office; building #2 on the UPEI campus map. Cash, debit, and credit card payments are accepted. Once payment is made you will be given an authorized pass that must be displayed in your vehicle’s window.
To obtain a parking pass electronically you must send an email message to firstname.lastname@example.org. The email must include:
- your name
- your UPEI Student ID number (your ID was emailed to you when you were confirmed in the course)
- the name of the professional development course you will be attending
The fee for the parking pass will be charged to your UPEI Account and you will be sent an invoice requesting payment. A parking pass will be emailed to you. You must print the pass and display it in the window of your vehicle on the training date(s). Please contact (902) 566-0384 should you have any questions regarding parking passes.
