Nadine Haddad & Morgan Wagner: Sing me a Story - Two Junior Recitals
Sunday, March 3, 2013 7:30 pm Dr. Steel Recital Hall
The UPEI Department of Music Recital Series presents a recital featuring
third-year students Nadine Haddad, soprano, and Morgan Wagner, soprano,
assisted by Frances McBurnie, piano.
The recital program will include works by J. S. Bach, Enrique Granados,
Henry Purcell, Richard Strauss, Gioacchino Rossini, Antonio Vivaldi, and
Hugo Wolf, as well as traditional and jazz selections.
After months of preparation, Nadine and Morgan look forward to sharing many
stories in song. Admission is free

Dear Colleagues,
In accordance with the terms of Ms. Kathleen Kielly’s appointment as
University Registrar (July 1, 2008), a review of the position is being
conducted. A Presidential Advisory Committee has been struck to seek
feedback. Those who have had interactions with the position are encouraged
to comment on such topics as: commitment and contribution to the
University, vision and leadership, decision-making, interpersonal skills,
organization and planning, and individual and collaborative leadership.
The Committee will be chaired by Dr. Christian Lacroix, Vice-President
Academic (Interim) and includes members Dr. Rosemary Herbert, Dean of
Nursing; Dr. Neb Kujundzic, Professor of Philosophy; Dr. Kathy
Gotschall-Pass, Vice-Chair of Senate, Chair of Applied Human Sciences; Ms.
Deidre Smith, Manager, Accounting; Mr. Darcy McCardle, Assistant Registrar;
and Ms. Kate VanGerven, President of the UPEI Student Union. Mr. Ryan
Johnston, Director of Human Resources will serve as resource to the
committee. You are invited to submit your comments in confidence by email

There's a great program scheduled, many wonderful items for the silent auction and an
international buffet representing seven countries!

School of Business, Cape Breton University on Friday, March 1, 2013 in
Memorial Hall Room 215 at 2:30pm on the topic: "Winners and Losers Under
a Capped Assessment Program: The Case of Nova Scotia"

In recognition of the outstanding performance of our faculty and staff and
their dedication to students and community—on-campus, provincially, and
globally—a number of annual Presidential Recognition Awards of Merit for
UPEI faculty and librarians and staff have been created to acknowledge their
efforts and achievements, and to celebrate their contributions to our
success as an institution.
Up to 10 Presidential Awards of Merit for UPEI Faculty and Librarians and
four Presidential Awards of Merit for UPEI Staff will be awarded in 2013
and presented during a celebration of colleagues to be held on Monday, May
6, 2013. Location and time will be announced soon.
Ryan Johnston, Director of Human Resources will lead the process and chair
the committees to select award recipients.
Nominations for both faculty and staff awards close on March 8, 2013.

“The Future of Nematode Parasite Control in Animal and Human Populations in an Age of Increasing Drug Resistance”

Dr. Prichard received his PhD from the University of New South Wales in Australia. His current position is James McGill Professor of Parasitology, Professor of Animal Science, and of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, McGill University, Montreal.
"The UPEI Recital Series 2012-2013 regrets to advise that the evening
performance originally scheduled for March 22, 2013 in the Dr. Steel
Recital Hall featuring Kevin MacLean, sax and Frances McBurnie, piano has
been POSTPONED due to unforeseen circumstances. The concert will hopefully
take place in the fall of 2013."
