There are plumbing repairs needed in the washrooms of Don and Marion McDougall Hall. In order to do these repairs we need to shutdown the domestic hot and cold water for the building on Saturday, November 19 beginning at 6:00 am. The shutdown is expected to last approximately 3 hours. During this time, there will be washrooms available for use in Duffy Science Centre.

The first-year class of the School of Sustainable Design Engineering will be showcasing their "sustainable seating" prototypes this Friday, November 18 from 11:30 am to 12:00 noon in the main concourse of the engineering building.  All are invited to drop by and see what the project groups have accomplished over a fast-paced, three-week project.

Calling all singers! The UPEI Multicultural Choir and Song Circle will be meeting this Tuesday, November 22, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm in room 103, Robertson Library building (in the basement). This area is also accessible by an elevator. Tuition Waiver forms for the Winter 2017 semester must be submitted to Human Resources by no later than December 13, 2016. When completing the form, please include all of the required information (course name, time, start and end date, cost and the number of semester hours) to avoid any delays in processing the waiver. The East Coast Art Party, a signature Health and Fitness Week event, will take place Tuesday, November 22 at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre in McMillan Hall from 5 to 8 pm. Pre-register now with your payment ($25 per person) at the Panther Central Desk at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. Registration includes all art supplies and you get to keep the selected painting you create. We have 20 spots available for UPEI students and 20 spots for UPEI faculty/staff. There will be two Emergency First Aid and CPR training sessions offered in December. The training cost is covered by the Health and Safety budget and space is limited. Ethics protocols that involve ‘more than minimal risk’ must be reviewed by the full UPEI Research Ethics Board. The next deadline for submitting these protocols is Friday, December 2, 2016. They will be reviewed at the December meeting. Protocols involving ‘more than minimal risk’ that are received after December 2 will be reviewed at the January 2017 meeting.

Other ethics protocol submissions, including new applications that do not involve ‘more than minimal risk’, renewals, and amendments may be submitted at any time. They will be sent for delegated review as soon as all necessary forms are received. Please ensure that you download and use the current forms from www.upei.ca/research/forms. Use Adobe Reader to complete forms.
