Attention: 2016 T4/T4As are now available electronically through your Campus Login. For those who did not select the electronic option, your T4/T4A will be mailed to your home address.

Please be advised that Konica Minolta photocopiers have now been set to order toner automatically directly from Konica. The machine monitors the levels, and a notification is electronically sent to Konica when a photocopier has 20% life left in a toner cartridge.  The toner will arrive in shipping and receiving within 3-5 business days and it will be delivered to your office at no charge.

If you happen to run out before your toner arrives there are extra toners available in Procurement and Payment Services. If your office has a high usage of toner you might like to have an extra cartridge available for immediate use. For more information please email procurement@upei.ca

In an effort to reduce the Eco footprint at UPEI we ask that you send any empty toner cartridges, imaging units, fusers, developer units and drums from any manufacturer to Shipping and Receiving in a box labeled Recycle. We will ship these items back to Konica for recycling!

If there is a change in location required for a unit please contact Carolyn Garro, cgarro@upei.ca, to have the machine moved.

We hear (and talk) a lot about indigenization and decolonization in the university – but what do we actually mean by those terms? This week’s SCENT article, “Doing the Work: The Historian’s Place in Indigenization and Decolonization,” goes some way towards answering that question.

Read the article and, as always, please leave a comment!

Every time we think politics can’t get worse, it sinks to a new low. We complain about the problems, but what is the solution? Join Dr. Gordon MacDonald while he discusses a proposal for a new form of government, Ikanocracy, where decision making is by a dynamic form of weighted direct democracy, and look at the mathematical and computational science behind it.

This lecture will take place Monday, February 27, 3:00 - 3:50 pm in Rm. 246, Don and Marion McDougall Hall.
