Teaching and Learning Centre
Need help with course design, revamping an assignment, writing your teaching philosophy or other topics? The UPEI Teaching and Learning Centre can help!
We celebrate and further develop the craft of teaching at UPEI and are committed to supporting the learning goals of faculty and instructional staff through programming, learning opportunities, and services.
New Instructional Resources Hub
The Teaching and Learning Centre has curated a series of instructional resources on timely topics to support your on-campus and online teaching and learning. If you are looking for just-in-time self-paced professional development, ideas for authentic alternative assessments, or wondering what to do about ChatGPT, we have found lots of evidence-based resources on these and other common questions.
Promoting Student Well-Being in Learning Environments
The Teaching and Learning Centre and Student Affairs have developed a new resource with strategies and information to help support students.
There are evidence-based ideas for course design, your syllabus, strategies for large classes, working with graduate students and more. The resource is available as an e-book and can be downloaded as a PDF as well. The appendix has a list of Student Supports at UPEI as well as a link to external support organizations through the Canadian Mental Health Association's PEI Helping Tree.
