Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UPEI is unable to hold traditional Convocation ceremonies on campus for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021. However, we are pleased to be able to proceed with Online Presentations of Graduates and In-Person Convocation Celebrations for each faculty, in keeping with public health guidance. View the schedule
The In-Person Convocation Celebrations are an opportunity for graduates who are residing on Prince Edward Island to come to campus, pick up their parchment, and be congratulated on their achievement. These in-person celebrations will operate like a market or expo where graduates will walk through the event area, progressing through various stations and booths, and essentially not spending a long duration of time in any one location.
Can faculty members attend the In-Person Convocation Celebrations?
Yes, but we do have to be mindful of numbers during any of the in-person celebrations in order to abide by public health guidance and our COVID-19 operational plan. If you are interested in attending, please contact the Dean of your faculty.
Do faculty members need to wear academic regalia?
If faculty members are attending the in-person celebrations, there is no requirement or expectation for them to wear regalia as the in-person celebrations are not Convocation ceremonies. For any faculty members, however, who wish to rent or purchase their regalia, please contact GradCo at email@example.com for information.
