2SLGBTQIA+ Peer Support Service

The 2SLGBTQIA+ Peer Support Service provides a safe and confidential space for 2SLGBTQIA+ students. This is a one-on-one, drop-in service which provides the opportunity to speak with a self-identified 2SLGBTQIA+ student volunteer. The volunteers do not provide counselling, but they do provide confidential support, listening, and resource referral.

Peer Support is rooted in sharing a common experience and the 2SLGBTQIA+ volunteers are trained to provide emotional and practical support. As they are self-identified 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, they may have lived through similar experiences to those using the service.

No problem or topic is too big or too small and the service provides the opportunity for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to talk about gender, sexuality, coming out, school, stress, exams, goals, and confidence, to name a few!
