Safety Hunt 2018

Information/Rules:

1. The Safety Hunt will begin on Monday, September 24 and end on Thursday, September 27 at at 4:00 pm. Winners will be announced on Friday, September 28, 2018.
2. Each photo submitted will earn one (1) ballot towards the Safety Week Grand Prize.
3. A list of items and tasks will be posted Monday morning. Photos can be submitted anytime during the week prior to 4:00 pm on September 27. Some items will have limited availability for photos. The list will be posted on this page and by the OHS Board in Kelley Memorial Building.
4. To submit a photo please post it to social media (Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook) using the hashtag #UPEISafetyWeek (make sure any privacy settings are set to public) or email to kharrison@upei.ca. Please note emailed photos will be posted to social media.

3. The OHS Bulletin Board - indicate where it is located
4. You at the Hand Washing booth, Safety Fair Wednesday 10:00 am–2:00 pm in W.A. Murphy Student Centre
5. Safety Selfie of you wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
6. A campus Emergency Pole (blue pole)
7. A hazard on campus - indicate location
8. Security Office Sign
9. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) - indicate where on campus
10. You and one of the Health, Safety and Environment campus team members
11. You with a Campus Security Services Member
12. A campus first aid kit (green and white wall mounted box) - indicate the location
13. A WHMIS pictogram/symbol
14. A sharps container
15. You holding the current UPEI Incident Report form or an Incident Reporting Kit
16. Fire Extinguisher - indicate where it is located
17. Assembly Point Sign - New this Semester!

Tasks:

1. Colour the Science Lab colouring page
2. Slogan idea for Safety Week 2019
3. Learn to use a Fire Extinguisher at the Safety Fair, Wednesday 10:00 am–2:00 pm in W.A. Murphy Student Centre (photo of you completing this task)
4. Complete the Safety Week Crossword
5. Opt-in for the Emergency Alert Text Notification (photo a screenshot of you sending the ERMS START text message)
6. Practice using an AED at the Safety Fair, Wednesday 10:00 am–2:00 pm in W.A. Murphy Student Centre (photo of you completing this task)
7. Decorate your door/desk/office for Safety Week
8. Trace your hand on the Safety Week Banner at the Safety Fair Wednesday 10:00 am–2:00 pm in W.A. Murphy Student Centre
