Departments

The Access to Information and Privacy Office was created to encourage best practices in information access and privacy matters are followed at UPEI. The Office is responsible for the administration of the Access to Information and Protection of Personal Information and Privacy Policy.
The Department of Ancillary Services at UPEI encompasses a variety of ancillary-type operations that are supportive and supplementary to UPEI’s core academic functions.
UPEI Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce the reopening of the following facilities and programs in compliance with public health guidance and UPEI’s Operational Ease-Back Plan.  
The mission of the Office of Ceremonies and Events is to serve the University community by defining and setting standards in the planning, organizing, and delivering of events across the University campus to align with the University’s vision, mission, and strategic plan.
As stewards of the university, the Comptroller's Office works efficiently behind the scenes to manage the physical and financial side of campus life and to provide exemplary service in a fiscally responsible way.
The Contracts and Insurance Office is responsible for contract review and commercial insurance portfolio management for the University.
Facilities Management serves UPEI through the planning, design, construction, operation, protection, and maintenance of its physical facilities. The department provides direction and support to senior administration in planning deferred maintenance, enhancement of buildings, and new capital investment in facilities.
The UPEI Financial Services Office processes the financial information for the University and the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC). This unit assists in developing and monitoring procedures and controls related to the administration of university-managed funds.

Human Resources seeks to deliver progressive, best-practice HR services to provide opportunities and information to UPEI employees and the general public.
Procurement Services is responsible for assisting its clients in making procurement decisions that optimize the use of University funds. Procurement Services establishes relationships with suppliers to provide the University with goods and services at optimal prices and terms.
The role of the Security Services Division is to protect and provide for the ongoing safety of the people, property, and information resources of the university community and to provide students, faculty, staff, and visitors with a secure environment in which to live, work, study, and play 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
UPEI established the Cross-Campus Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Task Force in 2017 to build on previous protocols and develop a formal, stand-alone policy on sexual violence prevention and response. The Sexual Violence Policy is now in place and UPEI has its first Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO)
