Sessional Instructor - Asian Studies Program - Faculty of Arts (Winter 2024)
The Asian Studies (AST) Program, Faculty of Arts, UPEI invites applications for a sessional instructor position during the winter 2024 semester, Jan. 8–April 25, 2024. We are seeking a qualified candidate to teach the following Korean Studies (KS) course:
Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.
AST 3201 – Korean Art: Traditional and Modern (Online)

Qualifications:
A doctoral or master’s degree with an undergraduate or graduate training in art or art education/history and applications with teaching experience in the same or similar course on Korean art are preferred. Qualified candidates should be very familiar with the traditions and contemporary developments of Korean art and culture. Since this sessional course is externally funded by an international KS project grant, the recommended candidate is also expected to make some contribution to project activities such as research and/or participation.
Preference will be given to the qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
