The Asian Studies (AST) Program, Faculty of Arts, UPEI invites applications for a sessional instructor position during the winter 2024 semester, Jan. 8–April 25, 2024. We are seeking a qualified candidate to teach the following Korean Studies (KS) course:

AST 2301 – Korean Religions (Online)

Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in Religious Studies or Philosophy specializing in Korean or East Asian religion/philosophy is preferred. Applications having a PhD or MA degree in a related field and teaching experience in the same/similar course will also be considered. Qualified candidates should be very familiar with the traditions and modern developments of Korean religion and culture. Since this sessional course is externally funded by an international KS project grant, the recommended candidate is also expected to make some contribution to project activities such as research and/or participation.

Preference will be given to the qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
