Applications are invited from graduate students with a BSc in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics, who are interested in assisting in KINE 3430 (Physiological Assessment and Training), KINE 3120 (Intro to Biomechanics), and KINE 4430 (Advanced Exercise Adaptation and Performance) laboratories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Include laboratory setup, demonstrations, supporting students while in the laboratory
  • Assessing student performance of laboratory tasks
  • Assisting in the supervision of undergraduate laboratory assistants, and other duties as required 
  • Student assistants will be expected to begin their lab shift 15-minutes prior to the start of each lab, and remain 15-minutes after completion

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a current Graduate student at UPEI
  • Applicants must have a BSc in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics and possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a laboratory setting will be considered an asset

This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the University of Prince Edward Island. Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students.
