In collaboration with community partners, this position develops and provides social work services to families to prevent separating children or youth from their families or support reunification of families while ensuring supports are in place that mitigate risk of child maltreatment or harm within applicable provincial and federal legislation and standards. The collaborative nature of this position is intended to build on the strengths of families from a child centered, community focused approach that promotes cultural safety, reunification, repatriation and interconnectedness enhancing protective factors to promote positive outcomes.
