UPEI students succeed at 2026 Actuarial Students’ National Association Convention

Fourteen actuarial science students from UPEI’s School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences attended the 2026 Actuarial Students’ National Association (ASNA) Convention, held in Ottawa from January 15 to 18.
Five of those students—Yixiao He, Grace Ngayo, Lea Nkombe, Olamipo Amusa, and Kiana Philpott—represented UPEI in the final round of the ASNA Case Competition. The team members, who were coached by SMCS faculty members Dr. Pouya Faroughi and Dr. Yechao Meng, received word earlier in January that they were one of only three teams to advance to the final round.
