UPEI Fall Open House

UPEI’s Fall Open House for prospective students on the central campus will begin at 12:00 noon and run until 4:00 pm. Registration is required.

The UPEI Faculty of Medicine will open their doors for a Community Open House from 9:00–11:00 am, with clinical simulation demonstrations, exploration of teaching and learning spaces, and opportunities to meet members of the Faculty of Medicine team. No registration is required. 

The Atlantic Veterinary College’s annual Open House will begin at 10:00 am, featuring a free, family-friendly event filled with animals, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and fun for all ages. No registration is required.

Open House FAQ

Can my parents, caregivers, or supporter attend Open House?  

Of course! Everyone is welcome. The UPEI Recruitment and First-Year Advisement team is hosting a special event for them. Join us at the Fox & Crow in the W. A. Murphy Student Centre (MSC, Building #4) from 1:00–4:00 pm to meet other UPEI parents and supporters, enjoy complimentary coffee from the barista, and ask about what to expect from the university experience. It's a great way to connect and ask questions. Registration is not required.

I am traveling to attend. Are there places to stay?  

Yes! UPEI Conference Services and Hotel has comfortable, spacious rooms available for anyone travelling to Open House, or those looking to experience life in UPEI residence! Book your room today:

What if I arrive after 1:00? Can I still attend and check-in?

What if I am hungry or would like to eat during the Open House?  

There will be complimentary snacks at check-in (Performing Arts Centre and Residence - PAC, Building #21), Faculty of Arts event (SDU Main Building - SDMB, Building #5), Faculty of Science event (Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering Building - FSDE, Building #30), and Schurman Market Square in the McDougall Faculty of Business (Don and Marion McDougall Hall - MCDH, Building #12). 

Food for purchase will be available at:

If I want to submit an application with the admissions team, do I need to bring my transcript?

The admissions team requests that you bring a digital copy for your application, as well as your SIN. We ask for this information to ensure that students are considered for the appropriate scholarships (George Coles Bursary, etc).
