North of 49 Free Relative Happiness Screening and Pizza Party

In Partnership with Student Affairs, North of 49 Films, Telefilm and the Atlantic Film Festival will be screening the movie Relative Happiness in McDougall Hall room 242 on Thursday November 19th. The movie starts at 7:30, people are asked to arrive prior in order to not be disruptive. There will be free pizza (meat and vegetarian) and non-alcoholic beverages. On the Line: An Evening of Monologues

On The Line: An Evening of Monologues is presented by the Students in this year's Theatre 244 class. The evening is a fund-raiser for the Campus Food Bank. It is being held in the Faculty Lounge in Main building on Monday, November 30. The doors open at 7 pm, and the show begins at 7:30 pm. Admission is by donation of a non-perishable food item, gently used, warm clothing, or cash. All proceeds will go to the Campus Food Bank. Warning: Some of the monologues contain adult language and describe adult situations. The evening may not be suitable for a younger audience, or those of a sensitive nature. MA Island Studies Thesis Defence - Ms. Xiaotong Liang

Ms. Xiaotong Liang will present her Master of Arts - Island Studies thesis defence on Tuesday, December 1st at 8:30am in Rm. 409 Dalton Hall. The thesis title is: Claiming Green to Earn Green: Environmental laws and uninhabited islands - A case study of Fangji Island, China. There is limited seating at this location. Festive Study Break

The Office of the President invites students to enjoy a festive study break on Tuesday, December 8 from 1:00-2:30 pm, in the lobby of the W.A. Murphy Student Centre. There will be free hot cocoa, coffee, and cookies along with holiday music--all to help ease the stress of studying and exams, and to celebrate the holiday season. All students are welcome!

The UPEI community is invited to attend the University of Prince Edward Island and the UPEI Alumni Association's New Year’s Levee.
