UPEI has announced a number of measures over the past several days in response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic. In-person classes, labs, and exams have been cancelled. All University events are cancelled until at least April 30. Convocation 2020 has been cancelled.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, UPEI’s Theatre Studies program regrets to announce the cancellation of its upcoming production of Everyone, which was slated to run March 17– 21. For information, please contact Dr. Greg Doran, Coordinator of Theatre Studies, at gdoran@upei.ca or 902-566-6013.

The following message was distributed to students on March 13, 2020 on behalf of the Office of the Vice-President Academic and Research.

In a joint release issued late Thursday night, the University of Prince Edward Island and U SPORTS, the governing body for university sport in Canada, announced the cancellation of the 2020 U SPORTS Women’s Hockey Championship. READ THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT

The decision was prompted by Hockey Canada, which announced earlier that all sanctioned hockey activities were being cancelled effective March 13. The U SPORTS University Cup, the men’s championship taking place in Halifax, was also cancelled.
