7:00 pm: The UPEI Women’s Hockey Panthers play the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. This is Game 1 of their best-of-five semifinal series. The Panthers finished with a 2-2 record against the X-Women this season.

New investments aim to attract French-language educators
The following joint news release was issued by the Government of Prince Edward Island on February 23.
Students considering the Bachelor of Education, Français langue seconde (French as a second language) at the University of Prince Edward Island now have extra motivation to choose that path.
New financial incentives, supported by Canadian Heritage and administered by the departments of Education and Early Years and Workforce and Advanced Learning, will help reduce education costs and encourage graduates to stay and teach on the Island.
Fantaisie de trombone - Recital featuring Dr. Dale Sorensen
The Department of Music presents Fantaisie de trombone, a recital featuring UPEI faculty members Dr. Dale Sorensen (trombone) with Dr. Magdalena von Eccher (piano), showcasing three 20th-century works by French women composers, along with 21st-century masterpieces by American composers James M. David and Susan Mutter.

Members of the public are invited to attend a panel titled “Education in the Age of AI: Reimagining the Educational Landscape” on February 26, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, in the Alex MacKinnon Auditorium (Room 242), Don and Marion McDougall Hall, UPEI. Dr. Tess Miller, a professor in the UPEI Faculty of Education, and PhD students Rahula Samaran, Saniya Shaikh, and Xiaohan Yang, all of whom are doing research in AI, will give presentations on education and various aspects of AI.
