Winter’s Tales presents PEI’s newest novelist, Olivia Robinson

Olivia Robinson was born in the Annapolis Valley and moved to PEI with her family. She blossomed as a creative writer not among the Valley’s orchards, but on the Island and at UPEI, and then at Memorial University and in Newfoundland and Labrador’s literary community.

That cultivation has yielded her debut novel, The Blue Moth Motel, from Newfoundland and Labrador’s esteemed publisher Breakwater Books. The PEI launch of her book will take place on Thursday, November 18, at 7:30 pm in The Carriage House at Beaconsfield Historic House, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

UPEI names new Jeanne and J.-Louis Lévesque Research Professors in Nutrisciences and Health

The University of Prince Edward Island has named three of faculty members as the recipients of the Jeanne and J.-Louis Lévesque Research Professorships in Nutrisciences and Health. Each professorship will be supported over the next three years with an annual grant of $10,000 and up to $25,000 to permit replacement for teaching or other duties. Panthers at Home, October 29 to 31

This Hallowe’en weekend will see home action every day for the UPEI Panthers. Join us for a pair of games for UPEI Women’s Hockey and the home-openers for UPEI Men’s and Women’s Basketball, including a championship celebration for the accomplishments of the 2019–2020 women’s basketball team!

The action starts on Friday evening at 7 pm in the MacLauchlan Arena as UPEI Women’s Hockey hosts the Dalhousie Tigers.
