UPEI Wind Symphony concert - Looking Up

Come hear the UPEI Wind Symphony's first live performance in two years!

Directed by Dale Sorensen, the program features works by stalwart wind band composers Brian Balmages, Frank Ticheli, Jan Van der Roost, and others.

"Looking Up" refers not just to our optimism because 'things are looking up', but also because all of the works on the program represent things in the sky (the sun, moon, Mercury), things that fly (a griffin, a roller coaster), or things that float (ghosts!).

Take a survey on concussion awareness and policies on PEI

The Concussion Awareness Program (CAP) at UPEI is looking for individuals to participate in a short survey regarding concussion awareness and policies on PEI. Your participation will help us better understand how we can improve the care of concussed children and young adults on PEI.

The survey is open to PEI residents aged 18 years and older who have been involved with youth aged 5 to 22 in roles including parents, coaches, caregivers, teachers, and school administrators.

Health researchers seeking participants with cancer for exercise training program

Researchers from UPEI’s Active Living Lab are seeking people with cancer, or who have previously had cancer, to participate in a 12-week exercise program. The program takes place at UPEI and is open to individuals who have been previously diagnosed with any type of cancer. Participants will perform a supervised exercise training program based on their fitness, skill level, and personal interests. They will receive a fitness test in the first and last week of the program. No previous experience is necessary.
