Graduate Research Assistant - Faculty of Education*AMENDED**REPOSTED*
$19.75 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)

Faculty member Dr. Gabriela Arias de Sanchez and Dr. Alaina Roach O’Keefe (Faculty of Education) are seeking one graduate research assistant to work on a project that will examine the State of Early Years Education in Prince Edward Island
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct and organize literature searches
- Create and maintain an annotated bibliography
- Assist with data collection
- Conduct transcription of interviews
- Assist with preliminary analysis and report generation
- Assist in writing an article for publication
- Assist with writing abstracts for conferences
- Develop PowerPoint presentations for dissemination to conferences, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful candidate will have completed at least three years of an undergraduate program or one year of an education program
- The preferred candidate will be enrolled in a graduate program at UPEI
- Experience navigating UPEI ethics
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent writing/editing skills
- Strong knowledge of APA
- Expertise in developing PowerPoint presentations
- Knowledge of qualitative research design
- Ability to work independently
- Understanding of early years and early childhood education would be considered an asset
- Previous experience as a research assistant would be considered an asset
