The University of Prince Edward Island, Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering, has openings for sessional instructors for the Fall 2025 semester for the following course:

ENGN-4710 Project-Based Pro Practice III 
This is the third of a series of upper-year design courses which simulates the practice of a professional engineer. Teams work closely with industry partners to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to meet global challenges. Students implement the engineering design process and use project management and product development tools. The role of analysis, simulation, and modeling in engineering design is emphasized. Through the application of appropriate frameworks students gain an appreciation for best practices, ethical behavior, an awareness of the role of engineers in society, engineering leadership, and sustainable design. Six lecture hours and six design studio hours per week.

Qualifications:

Qualified individuals must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. A Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience, would be considered a strong asset. Candidates should be registered as a Professional Engineer on Prince Edward Island. Professional engineering experience is expected and will be an important consideration in the selection process.

Note: Members of the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering’s Sessional Roster will be given priority in consideration for these positions.
