Working under the supervision of the McDougall Faculty of Business Administrative Team, a part-time Social Media Student Assistant is required to work on initiatives related to events, activities, and updates in the McDougall Faculty of Business. Hours of work are expected to range from 3-10 hours depending on the needs of the MFoB throughout the academic year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and provide input in the generation of social media content for the McDougall Faculty of Business, sharing events, announcements, information, and updates relevant to the MFoB
  • Create monthly reports that track reader engagement, and incorporate feedback into future posts to promote engagement
  • Coordinate content generation and post scheduling for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms as required
  • Communicate regularly with, and work under the supervision of, the Academic Support and Student Success Coordinator to support and maintain MFoB social media channels

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

  • Must be a current UPEI student
  • Competence in social media communications and visual content generation (proficiency with Canva and other relevant video editing software is considered an asset.)   
  • Experience with readership engagement
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently with good time management skills
