The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking a sessional instructor to assist in delivery of the following course to first-year veterinary students during the Fall 2023 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.

VBS 1410 – Integration of Structure and Function I

Responsibilities for this position include preparation and delivery of lab material and contribution of basic science concepts to joint basic/clinical tutorial discussions, preparation and marking of examinations and quizzes as appropriate and assisting students where needed. This team-taught course uses case-based material to emphasize first-year fundamental learning objectives.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a DVM or other health professional degree. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience in Physiology, Anatomy, or Histology, but those with evidence of effective teaching in related fields will also be considered.   

Preference will be given to the qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.

Term: Fall 2023 (August – December 2023)
