Sessional Instructor - Department of English - Faculty of Arts (Winter 2019)
The Department of English invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach English/UPEI 1010: Academic Writing. The section of the course is to be determined and the position is subject to final budgetary approval.
ENG/UPEI 1010: ACADEMIC WRITING
This course provides an introduction to university writing and rhetoric, aimed at the development of critical thinking, analytical reading, and effective written communication in an academic environment.
Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Minimal qualifications are a Masters degree in English and evidence of effective teaching experience in the relevant area. Preference will be given to applicants possessing a PhD in English.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
