Sessional Instructor - Department of Biomedical Sciences - Atlantic Veterinary College (Fall 2018)
VBS 1410 – Structure and Function
The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking a sessional instructor to assist in delivery of Integration of Structure and Function I (VBS 1410) to first-year veterinary students. This team-taught course uses case-based material to emphasize first-year fundamental learning objectives. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
Responsibilities for this position include preparation and delivery of lab material and contribution of basic science concepts to joint basic/clinical tutorial discussions, preparation and marking of examinations and quizzes as appropriate and assisting students where needed.
Applicants must hold a DVM or other health professional degree. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience in Physiology, but those with evidence of effective teaching in related fields will also be considered. Priority will be given to members of the UPEI Sessional Roster for the Department of Biomedical Sciences
Remuneration will be as specified in the Faculty Association Collective Agreement.
Integration of Structure and Function I is taught during the fall semester, which runs from August to December.
