The Department of Political Science at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach in the Winter 2024 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.

POLS-2620 – Canadian Politics II: The Political Environment & Process (3 Credits)

This course introduces various aspects of Canadian politics, such as political culture, nationalism, regionalism, and biculturalism. It also examines electoral politics, interest group activities and the role of the mass media. Lecture: Three hours a week.

Qualifications:

Successful applicant will have at a minimum a Master’s degree in Political Science or the equivalent in a cognate discipline such as Public Policy or Law. A PhD is preferred.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty members of the Academic unit.
