The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island, is now accepting applications for a permanent full-time Clinical Nursing Instructor position. The instructor will provide direct clinical supervision to undergraduate students in acute/inpatient mental health at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Prince County Hospital and/or Hillsborough Hospital. Direct clinical supervision of students may also be required in the Faculty of Nursing, Learning Resource Centre and in primary health care settings including long-term care. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications:

BScN or BN, current registration or eligibility for registration with College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of PEI (CRNMPEI) and at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience. Expertise in mental health and adult nursing is required. Previous experience in teaching and clinical supervision of students would be an asset. Valid driver’s license required.          

Term:  Permanent full-time position  

Hours:  37.5 hours per week, days and evening shifts

Salary: $46.75 pay per hour in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the University of Prince Edward Island Board of Governors and The University of Prince Edward Island Faculty Association Bargaining Unit #1

Start Date: September 11, 2023
