Community Based Student Research Assistants (Up to 3 Positions) - Faculty of Education
$19.75 plus 4% vacation pay
September 6, 2020 to October 23, 2020
Three candidates are sought to assist in conducting in community interviews with Inuit teachers in Nunatsiavut.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct interviews and organizing interviews
- Work with the project lead and community leads to refine the research
- Transcribe the interviews
- Analyze the results
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a Bachelor of Education Degree and or relevant school related experience
- Ability to speak Inuktitut (need not be 100% fluent)
- Cultural competency related to working with Elders and community members in Nunatsiavut
- Physically located in a community in Nunatsiavut (due to travel restrictions)
- Able to work self-directed at a distance, through mentorship with project coordinators
