The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island, is now accepting applications for a full-time Clinical Nursing Instructor position. The instructor will provide direct clinical supervision to undergraduate students in acute/inpatient medical surgical settings at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Prince County Hospital. Direct clinical supervision of students will be required in the Faculty of Nursing, Learning Resource Centre and/or direct clinical supervision of students in primary health care settings including long-term care. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications:

BScN or BN, current registration or eligibility for registration with College of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island (CRNPEI) and at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience. Expertise in adult nursing is required. Previous experience in teaching and clinical supervision of students would be an asset. Valid driver’s license required.

Term:  Permanent full-time position

Hours:  37.5 hours per week, involves days and evening shift work

Salary: $44.07 per hour in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the University of Prince Edward Island Board of Governors and The University of Prince Edward Island Faculty Association Bargaining Unit #1

Start Date: December 15, 2022
