IST 6040: Research Methods and Design for Island Studies
This graduate course introduces students to the research designs, methods and methodologies associated with Island Studies scholarship. It addresses a broad survey of the kinds of questions students will encounter when they read research that has been undertaken by others and when they undertake their own research. Although there is some complementarity with research designs and methods used in other disciplines, this course focuses on research within the context of small islands.
