The Department of Sociology and Anthropology of the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a Sessional Instructors for the Fall 2021 Semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Sociology and Anthropology 2610 SEX, GENDER, AND SOCIETY
This course examines gender and current idea about sex (the biological distinction of female and male) in various social and cultural contexts. A wide range of sociological and/or anthropological issues are examined, such as the biological bases and evolutionary development of sexual differences; sexual violence; and affirmative action. Cross-cultural experiences and materials are introduced and theories including feminist narratives throughout the course.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will have a graduate degree or a doctoral degree in Sociology or Anthropology.
