The Department of Applied Human Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Instructor during the first Summer 2022 academic semester, subject to final budgetary approval. This course will be offered in a hybrid format. Individuals qualified to teach the following course are encouraged to apply:

KINE – 3750 – Nutrition for Fitness, Sport (3 Credits)

This course will focus on the role of nutrition in athletic performance and fitness. Topics include energy expenditure, macro- and micro-nutrients, hydration and dietary supplementation. Eating strategies for optimal performance and other current topics in sports nutrition will also be discussed.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Kinesiology or a field related to the respective course content.  Documented experience teaching these courses would be a definite asset. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster, and to those with experience in teaching university level courses.
