The Chemistry Department requires a Research Assistant to assist with research projects in Materials Chemistry with Dr. Rabin Bissessur.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To synthesize and characterize nanocomposite materials consisting of graphene analogous materials and conducting polymers
  • To perform a thorough literature search in the field of conducting polymers and graphene analogous materials

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The successful candidate will have a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in chemistry
  • Experience with materials characterization techniques such as powder X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and electrical conductivity measurements will be an asset
  • The successful candidate should be highly organized and be able keep thorough records of experimental data and observations

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
