Casual MTS Level 5 - Laboratory Instructor - Department of Biology - Faculty of Science
$26.70 per hour, plus 4% vacation, as per CUPE 1870

The Department of Biology at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications from UPEI graduate students who are interested in instructing laboratories in the following Biology courses in the 2021-22 Academic Year:
Fall Courses:
Bio 1210 Human Anatomy/ Bio 2260/Human Anatomy & Histology – 4 positions, and Bio 1310 Genes, Cells and Macromolecules – 9 positions.
Winter Courses:
Bio 1220 Human Physiology – 2 positions, and Bio 1320 Organisms & Their Environment– 6 positions
Applicants may be hired for multiple positions. Those wanting to be considered for second term only must apply now and indicate this on their application.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Could include demonstrating, assisting, or instructing, conducting tutorials, and marking exams and assignments
- The successful applicants will be required to participate on a weekly basis for the duration of the Fall semester
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology or a similar program; Applicants with a graduate degree are preferred
- Applicants must possess good communication skills
- Be WHMIS trained or be willing to take the training
