Student Assistant - Office of Study Abroad and International Partnerships - International Relations Office - Student Experience Hub
$16.50 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
January 18 – June 30, 2026
The Office of Study Abroad & International Partnerships is seeking applications for the position of Student Assistant. Reporting to the Manager of the Office of Study Abroad and International Partnerships, this position will focus on assisting in the facilitation and coordination of the UPEI Study Abroad Program. The student assistant will be responsible for assisting with planning and running the activities for the study abroad program. The position will be part-time during the winter semester.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in supporting students through a Study Abroad experience
- Help develop, promote and maintain the Study Abroad social media pages
- Support the coordination of and promotion of Study Abroad events
- Assist in the creation of marketing material for the Study Abroad program
- Help to develop, administer and analyze a research project centered around Study Abroad
- Perform other duties as required
- Must be a current UPEI student
- Senior student with study abroad experience is a definite asset
- Cross-cultural experience and familiarity with working in a post-secondary educational environment would be considered an asset
- Experience organizing events
- Strong computer skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in both a team environment and independently and be willing to work occasional evenings and / or weekends
- A customer-service orientation
- Be comfortable engaging with students and guests from diverse backgrounds who have varying language proficiencies
- Social media organizational and administrative skills
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong judgment and experience working with Faculty
