The School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for sessional instructors during the forthcoming Winter 2026 semester.
These positions are subject to final budgetary approval.
Please note: the courses offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.
MATH 1110 – Finite Mathematics
This course introduces students to finite mathematical techniques and to mathematical models in business, life, and social sciences. The course begins with an introduction to mathematical models, types of models, and the conversion of verbal models to mathematical models. Topics covered include systems of linear equations and matrices, linear inequalities and linear programming, sets, counting, and probability.
Time: MWF 10:30AM-11:20AM
Qualifications:
Successful applicants should hold a master's degree in mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/computational sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience. Applicants should have experience in teaching, research, or industry practice related to the course content.
