Student Teaching Assistant-Department of Sociology and Anthropology-Faculty of Arts
$17 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology of the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a teaching assistant for SAN/DSJS 2610 Sex, Gender, and Society during the Fall 2026 Semester.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Marking and grading student essays, quizzes, and exams
• Recording grades and providing feedback under instructor supervision
• Assisting with preparation of course materials
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Enrollment as a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at UPEI
• Preference will be given to students whose major is in Sociology, Anthropology, and/or DSJS
• Good academic standing and strong written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
