Dr. Matthew Pauley is seeking an undergraduate Research Assistant to support their funded research project, entitled "Indigenous Entrepreneurship.”

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direct supervision of Dr. Pauley:

  • Contribute to all research tasks
  • Help collect primary data from narratives
  • Help with analysis and writing
  • Build weak networks to support their entrepreneurship ambitions
  • Formatting documents for publication
  • Transcribing manuscripts
  • Data Entry
  • Perform other research duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Upper-year undergraduate UPEI student preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Understanding, knowledge, experience, and/or language of the Mi'kmaq nation essential
  • Highly motivated and responsible
  • Interest in entrepreneurship and/or narrative research
  • The ability to work independently and organized
  • Access to a computer and internet is a must
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel is preferred

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
