The Faculty of Education is seeking applicants for a 10-month term position in the BEd (français langue seconde) program, to commence on May 1, 2023. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval. 

The successful candidate will be bilingual, have superior oral and written French, have a Bachelor of Education and a relevant Master’s degree, and demonstrate successful teaching in a K-12 context in one or more aspects of French Education (French Immersion, French First Language, Core French, Intensive French). The successful candidate will ideally have experience teaching sciences and social studies at the intermediate and senior level and may be required to supervise student teachers. A valid driver’s license is required. Teaching in a post-secondary context is considered an asset.   

The Faculty of Education is committed to developing caring, compassionate, and innovative teachers.  We offer 12-month Bachelor of Education programs in English and French Education, a Master of Education degree in both course-based and thesis-based streams, and a PhD in Educational Studies. 

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a MEd or Ph.D. in a related field and should be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with experience teaching courses at the post-secondary level.
