The technical inspector recruitment and developmental program (TI-RDP) is a unique program, developed and delivered by Measurement Canada.

Throughout this program, inspectors are mentored by senior inspectors and experts, provided with classroom, on-the-job and on-line training, and given real time experience conducting examinations (inspections), calibrating equipment, handling complaints and working with stakeholders. To qualify for a promotion, the participant must demonstrate that they meet the essential qualifications of the position, which include knowledge and competencies referenced in the statement of merit criteria for the position.
