The Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries (DAAF) is seeking an individual to become a team member of the Crop Sector Development Branch as the Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program (RALP) coordinator.

The program is part of the increase in the environmental resiliency of agricultural landscapes by accelerating the adoption of on-farm land use and management practices that maximize provision of multiple Ecological Goods and Services. The program will focus on elements related to greenhouse gas reductions, soil health improvements, conservation, and restoration of critical wildlife habitat, strengthening the resilience of agricultural lands and water quality improvements.

The successful candidate will provide agronomic and agro-environmental advisory services, answer program inquiries, review applications to determine eligibility, deliver information sessions for staff, producers, and other agricultural stakeholders, conduct technical analysis to encourage and support the implementation of agri-environmental Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs) to producers and regional community pasture groups. Other duties will include project record management, on-site assessments, field inspections, project management, representing the department on Federal Provincial Territorial working groups, providing program application assistance, as well as other related duties.
