GLOCAL Foundation of Canada is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that promotes digital civic engagement and digital skills for youth in Canada. We have some incredible opportunities available for Canadian youth who are wanting to gain professional experience. One of the most exciting opportunities is the National Youth Service Network (NYSN) program. This volunteer program focuses on equipping youth with digital skills and providing them with interesting projects to learn more about our country and increase the knowledge mobilization of Canadian civic literacy. 

Volunteer positions:

  • Research positions: Students will use various research methods to gather Canadian civic information from scholarly resources or primary sources to create copywriting, reports, and articles.
  • Data positions: Students will extract, clean, and present politicians' information directly from government websites.
  • Marketing positions: Students will manage social media accounts, create content such as infographics and videos, analyze social media engagement, and manage brand identity.
  • Communication positions: Students will focus on the outward communication efforts of the organization, specifically managing the brand identity and public relations.
  • Digital products and services development: Students will plan and develop various digital products and services, including website development (planning, UIUX, user research, and testing), gamification (planning, story design, graphics design), and app development (planning, UIUX, user research, and testing).
  • Outreach positions: Students will reach out to government officials and politicians to gather information about policies, bills, and requests for interviews.
