Are you interested in a career that allows you to see more of the world, all while being a Canadian public servant at IRCC? Do you already hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution? Here is the job for you!

What a career in the Foreign Service has to offer:

The career of a Foreign Service Officer is both challenging and exciting. Officers live abroad while working at high commissions, consulates and embassies to deliver Canada’s immigration programs. This includes screening and processing applications from prospective immigrants, refugees, students, temporary workers and visitors. Officers report on international migration trends and developments, and help to ensure the integrity of the immigration program.

To become a Foreign Service Officer, candidates must be successful in completing the 36 month Foreign Service Development Program (FSDP). The FSDP is a paid, three-year, entry-level program designed to develop candidates into effective Foreign Service Officers through both formal and on-the job training, in-Canada and overseas work assignments, and mentorship.
