You will be part of a team of four, working out of our office in North Granville. You will undertake stream restoration work in order to reduce sediment run-off and restore fish passage. You will plant trees and shrubs that are sourced from local nurseries as part of a plan to increase wildlife diversity, reduce run-off, and help mitigate the effects of climate change. You will take part in environmental educational outreach activities such as bat education and native wildlife workshops. You will use water monitoring equipment to undertake a water sampling and testing program, and perform riparian health surveys, electro-fishing, and other surveys and activities. You will use GIS software and work on various other projects in the office. The experience gained will give you a wealth of knowledge of environmental management techniques, watershed restoration methods, and excellent experience of working in a team.
